The QX group is pleased to announce it has been awarded a place on the Government’s Digital Marketplace through the G-Cloud 9 digital framework. They are listed within with Cloud Support Services classification which is for businesses providing cloud based services or support services.
The Digital Marketplace is an online platform that enables the government and wider public sector organisations looking for cloud-based services (eg web hosting or online accounts services), to procure them faster and cheaper through the G-Cloud 9 frameworks than by entering into individual procurement contracts.
The G-Cloud consists of a series of framework agreements with suppliers from which public sector organisations are able to procure services without needing to run a full tender or competition procurement process as this process has been undertaken by each supplier to be included on the framework. All G-Cloud suppliers have to work in a way that helps buyers comply with the Technology Code of Practice which sets the standard on the best way for government organisations to design, build and buy technology.
This exciting development enables the QX group to provide their cloud based services, particularly payroll and finance & accounts services, to a range of government organisations including NHS Trusts. Said Mahesh Jain, Operations Director for the QX Finance & Accounts Outsourcing division, “This was a detailed process for us; I am most grateful for the hard work of the QX team who ensured our compliance with the requirements of the G-Cloud 9 framework. We are now ready to help public sector organisations with their cloud accounting requirements.”
Cyber Essentials Plus
This listing comes at the same time as QX has achieved Cyber Essentials Plus certification. Cyber Essentials is a government-backed scheme to help businesses protect themselves against cyber threats. The higher level of assurance which QX has achieved included the Certification Body testing that the five key data controls are working in practice by simulating basic hacking and phishing attacks.
QX has held ISO 27001:2013 international standard for Information Security Management Systems for a number of years now, covering a number of its divisions in its Indian delivery centre. This certification covers a framework of policies and procedures including all legal, physical and technical controls involved in an information risk management process.
