Singapore is home to expensive buildings, a concert hall shaped like a durian, and you guessed it, business conferences. This year, it played host to QX’s 5th annual board meeting held on the 15th February, 2016, at the Park Royal in Singapore.

This annual event, where the Global Leadership Team of QX meets with the QX Chairman, Chris Robinson, presents results from the past year, reviews how the business is growing, and shares our strategy for the coming year and beyond.

Check out our 2015 highlights in our Year in Review.

This year’s theme was ‘Inspire 2016’ and the offsite meet was combined with a working break for the team in an informal and relaxed setting to provide the time away from the office to identify ways to achieve greater heights. A special thank you to all who attended – especially the folks that have been with QX since the beginning.

Overview

It was fantastic to have our 10 leaders present an overview of their division’s performance highlights.  Our marketing head, Kaz Driver (UK), wasn’t able to attend in person but she did share her plans around our immense growth opportunity and how we can become the preferred outsourcing company for businesses across the UK, USA and India.

During the afternoon session on the first day, QX Chairman, Chris Robinson, talked about how the way we do business is changing, how moving to outsourcing changes the way our clients do business and how we can use technology to ease the transition.

Growth

Our MD, Rajiv Bhatia’s strategy remains fully focused on high growth. In 2015, QX grew by over 30% year-on-year, and at the Annual Meeting he provided guidance about how we expect the business to increase its offerings in 2016.

Some fun

Work can often get stressful and the opportunity to spend some time away from the office with your teammates actually helps build stronger relationships with each other. After the meetings and presentations it was time to see Singapore. These are the some of the things the teams did over the next 3 days:

  • Celebrate the Chairman, Chris Robinson’s birthday at Raffles
  • Visit to the Universal Studios, Garden by the Bay & Clarke Quay
  • Visit to the Singapore Flyer, Merlion Park, Marina by the Bay

The QX team really enjoyed this much-deserved break and are looking forward to the meet again next year.
