Wow – another great QX Annual Day 2016. With over 1300 attendees and an amazing line-up of performances, the 12th QX Annual Day surpassed all the annual events from the past, both in terms of grandeur and scale. We have certainly come a long way in the last 12 months. This year’s annual day theme of ‘fun, friends and family’ was particularly relevant as out of all the conversations and experiences we had at the event these three words really stood out.
Fun, friends and family
At QX we strive to strengthen the relations between colleagues and their families and what better way to do this then by bringing them together under one roof. The 12th Annual Day was a perfect platform to do this, as staff members and their families got the opportunity to meet the people behind QX. Our senior management did not disappoint as the audience learned about all the goings-on at QX, and the role the employees play. Chris Robinson, our Chairman, and Rajiv Bhatia, QX’s MD, were some of the senior leaders the crowd heard from. They shared their plans for the employees and the commitment of the company to the markets it serves.
Speaking about the Annual Day, QX Chairman, Chris Robinson, said, “It’s no secret that we work very hard throughout the year to make our clients’ businesses run as smoothly as possible. The Annual Day is a great opportunity for everyone to unwind and get to know each other better.”
Chief guests and UK colleagues
The chief guests for the evening were the British High Commissioner of Gujarat and his wife, who witnessed the celebrations along with our some of our UK staff and most of our India staff and their families.
A line-up of performances
What a wonderful night this was. From contemporary and cultural dance performances, through to singing, mimes and even a fashion ramp walk, the 2016 event boasted some of the best live performances we’ve seen in the last 12 years. There is no denying that the dancers and singers added a new level of class to the proceedings this year. As always, it was beautiful and a treat to watch.
The QX Annual Awards recognise the ‘ongoing contributions’ of some of our employees and teams to QX’s growth. It’s truly an honour, awarded by and to employees for business and service achievements. This year there were some very hotly contested categories and, with over 600 employees, it was hard to choose the winners. In all, over 90 awards were presented across categories, right from ‘Going the extra mile’ for AVPs, a special category for Senior VPs, through to Young Achievers’ award for staff in the Young Leaders programme. In addition to these, we presented numerous Rising Star awards, which recognise activities of significance from all other staff members. The awards ceremony was certainly heavy with emotion but a great opportunity for us to acknowledge our employees. A huge congratulations to all of our winners!
Celebratory dinner and dancing
The QX celebratory dinner is a highlight every year. The excitement and sense of ‘fun, friends and family’ culminated in a grand, full-course dinner at the club, where we took the opportunity to continue the celebrations together. We finished the evening with an energetic dance party. It was great to see everyone dancing and sharing a laugh together.
Rajiv Bhatia, MD of QX said, “You know recognition of doing great work is one thing, but it’s actually what those awards can do in terms of driving our service levels forward. I am just really happy to be here surrounded by my colleagues and their families.”
That’s it for our recap everybody. Thanks for making the day so full of fun and camaraderie. We really hope that everyone who attended had a great time and enjoyed being a part of it as much as we did. We’d be keen to hear your feedback on any element of the event, so please feel free to leave a comment here or email firstname.lastname@example.org. We will continue to improve this in the future and make the QX Annual Day bigger and better every time.
See you all at the Annual Day in 2017…it’s going to be huge.
