QX payroll and accounts staff tend to be graduate degree qualified including Chartered Accountants and Management Accountants with knowledge of most UK & US accounting regulatory laws and back office software. Numeracy and analytical skills are often tested as part of the selection process and may include the following abilities:
- Interpreting numbers
- Using spreadsheets
- Statistical analysis
- Calculating invoices
- Using appropriate software packages to collect, analyse and present data
Recruitment consultants would have to demonstrate quantifiable evidence of their literacy skills and experience. Including on-job work experience, all applicants will have to display reading and English comprehension abilities in addition to communicating effectively with clients.
