About the job/some background

The AVP will be involved in the development of new policies and programs, staffing and training process, supervision of subordinates, research, preparation of presentation and reports. Being at a relatively higher position in the hierarchy, they have to coordinate and communicate with a large number of people to be aware of the progress in the departmental and organisational activities. An ideal candidate will manage people and budgets in the organisation and earn maximum profits through minimum investment of labor and finance. The AVP will be highly fluent in English and able to maintain a healthy rapport with clients. You will also be responsible for looking after a team of 15-30 individuals.

Key responsibilities

  • Overall in charge of team size of 15-30
  • Communication with all the clients assigned
  • Support business development activity
  • Suggest best practice within various teams
  • Take care of billing activity for client portfolio assigned
  • Review monthly target prepared by department head and assign them to team
  • Regular monitoring of target vs Actual
  • Resolve all the queries and disputes with clients
  • Mentor all the managers to reach at Sr manager level
  • Keeping tight control over staff and monitor their activities
  • Send out weekly reports to clients
  • Manage deadline work and assign the work to different teams
  • Maintain balance between recruitment and work flow
  • Farming activities - Provide value addition to client to get more work
  • Support Marketing activities
  • Manage entire process of getting new client on board - Trial, feedback and process
  • Prepare/review process manuals for new client
  • Conduct training for all levels depending on their needs

Qualifications and experience required 

  • Master in Accounts, ACCA, CA
  • minimum 7-9 years’ experience
  • Minimum 7 years in UK Accounting
